Admission to M.Sc. Biotechnology course is through Entrance Examination
A) Admission to the Course will be given from amongst the successful candidates (General and Reservation categories) as per merit in the Entrance Examination.
B) State Government Rules on reservation will be observed strictly while admitting candidates from the reservation categories for the Course.
C) Eligibility :
i) As per Ordinance 498 (VII) of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, the can-didate must be a Science graduate, or B. Pharm, or B.Sc. (Agri)
ii) Candidate desirous to appear for Entrance Examination must be secured minimum 45% marks (40% for reservation categories) at their qualifying Degree Examination.
iii) The allotment of Seats will be as per Circular No. Acad/NP/M.Sc/71/2004 29693-782 dated 15/03/2004 of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad.
Regulation : 1381 : Allotment of seats for admission to Post-Graduate Course under the Faculty of Science :-
a) A student of 10th & 12th Standard from Maharashtra & B.Sc. from this University, Completed Three Years. 80%
b) A student of 11th &12th Standard from any Other State & B.Sc. from this University, Completed Three Years. 10%
c) A student of B.Sc. from Other State including N.R.I. 10%
D) Students desirous to appear for Biotechnology Entrance examination should apply in prescribed form enclosed in prospectus on or before 04/07/2007 along with the demand draft of Rs. 250/- (Rs. 125/- for S.C./S.T. category). On the back of Demand Draft candidate should write the name at the left hand top corner and BTEE below the name in parenthesis. The reserved category candidate should submit and xerox copy of caste certificate at the time of procuring the Entrance Examination form.
E) Application form duly completed along with the attested copies of documents as per (F) below, Entrance Examination Fee and two copies of recent pass port size photographs should reach this Office on or before 04/07/2007 Postal delay or delay of any kind or of any reason will not be entertained. In complete form will be summarily rejected. To submit the application form within the due date is the sole responsibility of the candidate.
F) Important Note : Enclose attested copies of -
i) All marks memo of Graduation, S.S.C., H.S.C.
ii) Certificate Claiming reservation.
Candidates who have passed qualifying degree (B.Sc./B.Pharm./B.Sc.Agri.) Examination only need apply.
G) Candidates should submit the application within the due date and collect Entrance Examination Admit Card from office immediately. Students should produce the Admit card at the time of entrance examination. The Office will not be held responsible for non-receipt of Entrance Examination Admit Card.
H) The result and the names of the short listed candidates (General merit list & Provisional admission list) will be displayed on the Office Notice Board on 12/07/2007 and admissions will be given immediately as per merit and rules of reservation. Therefore, candidates should bring all the required original documents/certificate along with two sets of attested xerox copies of each and the required fees on 12/07/2007.
I) Candidates belonging to OBC, NT-2 and NT-3 should Produce latest copy of non-creamy layer certificate. All reserved category candidates should produce caste validity certificate at the time of admission.
